About Lotus Noire Health
Lotus Noire Health is a Nurse Practitioner-owned private practice in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. We exist to provide a healing space — online and in person — where Black, Brown, LGBTQ+, and other historically underserved community members feel comfortable and empowered when making decisions about their health.
Provide a healing space — online and in person — where Black, Brown, LGBTQ+, and other marginalized community members feel comfortable and empowered making decisions about their health.
A society modernized, achieving and sustaining health equity for Black and all other marginalized people.
Speak the truth. Believe people when they tell their stories. Refuse to speak for Black, Brown, or LGBTQ+ people who can speak for themselves. Intentionally include and integrate. Offer choice in everything.

Our nurse practitioner
Temperance is the Nurse Practitioner you can look forward to seeing — after years of visits with care providers who don't quite understand you, are dismissive, or are just too rushed to offer FULL healthcare options. We hope you take advantage of everything she has to offer as a provider.
Temperance believes that every patient is the most important person on Earth, and that her team's job is to bring her care to them. She is intent on building the staff so that no person ever has to look outside her practice to be loved, honored, and healthcared into being a free Black, Brown, LGBTQ+ community member.
Temperance lives in Providence, Rhode Island and works hard on modeling the spirit of everyone showing up as their authentic self in the world. She has bravely traveled to Cuba, Tanzania, and South Africa to learn about ways other Black countries were/are treating people of color.
Temperance is a fierce philosopher and provides much of her experience around emotional and relational wellbeing to her team. She is a sounder, educator, and great supporter to anyone in her life.

How we show up
We don't judge. We understand people have unique situations and needs — we just want our patients to feel informed and happy with their health.
We never talk over your head. We use everyday language and make sure you understand what's going on with your body.
We integrate emotional wellness into clinical care. Trauma-informed isn't a buzzword here — it's the practice.
We center community. From neighborhood roots in Pawtucket to long-standing relationships with patients across RI and MA.
